What time is check in and check out?
Can we alter this?

Please arrive after 3p.m and ideally before 8p.m. If you’d like to send us a rough ETA we aim to pop down when you arrive to give you a quick tour and answer any questions.
Please check out by 11a.m. Early check in is not normally possible, late check out can sometimes be possible so we will accomodate this if we can.

How do we find you?

Detailed directions will be sent to you after booking. Our Contact Us page has links to Google Maps and What3Words- which we find to be the best method.

Do you have a maximum amount of people?

If you hire the site to stay overnight with a group, the maximum amount is 12 people, including children. This is because we can comfortably sleep 12. If you have an under two year old in your group taking you to 13 that’s ok, just let us know. Our site is a perfect fit for three families.

What are the tents like and how are they set up?

Our three 6m sleeping tents are high quality four seasons canvas bell tents (with 360gsm thickness and EU regulation fire proofing). Each sleeping tent has a king sized bed, topped with thick mattress topper, and as standard two single campbeds. We will move campbeds to suit the needs of your group. Upon booking we will ask how you’d like the tents set up.
The heated lounge tent can be kept as a communal space, which most guests prefer to do. However if your group is made up of 12 adults, we can put up to three single camp beds in here for you, and still retain the sofa area.

Can I book just one tent or as a single person?

As a general rule we book the site as a whole only, so whilst you can book it for a smaller group/a family you will still have to pay the full site price. There is some flexibility in the offseason (April-June inclusive) when we might reduce the price for the use of one tent, still with exclusive use of the site, so it’s always worth getting in touch with your specific request.

Can I bring an extra tent?

I’m afraid we’re not able to accomodate extra tents. It’s always worth getting in touch about the set up of your group, because we can move campbeds to suit your requirements . The 7m lounge tent is often a favourite for older children.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes we are a dog friendly site. We just ask that you are responsible for them and clean up after them. We appreciate it if you bring their bed and some towels to help to protect the tents.
The site is well fenced to the road and boundaries on three sides, on the fourth side it is open to empty fields that eventually lead to a river. We do have horses well fenced a field away.

Do we have the whole place to ourselves?

Yes you do! The site is hired for exclusive use. Your group have private sole use of the whole of the site- that’s four tents, outdoor kitchen, BBQ hut, toilet block and games field. This is the only site on the farm, so no one else will be nearby.

Are you on site as hosts?

Ed’s parents live in the farm house a couple of fields away, we live offsite but not far away. We aim to greet you in for a quick tour and to answer any questions, but then leave you to enjoy your stay in peace, available to contact by phone if you need us.

Are you child friendly?

Yes we are, having two young children ourselves the site is set up with children in mind. We have a highchair, cot available, child toilet seat, step stool in the bathroom. Toys and books are provided as well as some surprise extras!

Is the site wheelchair friendly?

We regret that the site topography and some features of the site means permanent wheelchair users will have difficulty accessing the site. A person with some independent mobility may be able to use the site with support. However there are steps up to the toilet block. If you, or the person you represent has impairment or difficulties of any kind and you wish to stay with us in The Trees please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What’s the kitchen like?

We have a handmade outdoor kitchen with a 12v 60L fridge and a four hob gas burner. We have BBQ options on the fire pit and in the BBQ Hut. We have one cool box and suggest you bring another if you have a large group. Bags of ice are helpful for drinks. We have storage boxes for food. We provide all the cookware you should need for cooking al fresco- ask if you’d like to check what we have.

What do I need to bring?

We provide- bedding, extra throws, towels, toilet paper, washing up liquid, soap, tea towels, bin bags. We have some oil, salt and pepper. We have lanterns, torches and firelighting equipment.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you should need for cooking. So the main things you need to bring are clothes, food and drink , wellies, crocs are great for glamping!

Do you provide firewood?

We do. You have a generous amount of farm certified firewood included in your booking and some kindling and firelighters. We have additional firewood and charcoal available to buy should you need it. You can either put cash in the honesty box or settle up afterwards by bank transfer. Please do not bring your own firewood.

Can I order an online food shop To The Trees?

Yes we have had guests order food delivery. Sainsburys and Asda deliver to us. Ask us for the address and directions if you’d like to arrange this before your stay.

Can we have a party?

We can’t allow parties on the site no. We want to respect our neighbours, the calmness of nature and our planning conditions. That said, lots of our guests have celebrated chilled birthdays in the trees and acoustic instruments around the campfire are welcome.

Can we have amplified music?

No, we can’t. We are an off grid site powered by solar. So there is no where to plug anything in. Nor are we able to have generators. As above, we are not party location and guests found playing loud music will be asked to leave, as per our terms and conditions of booking.

Is there WIFI and can I charge my phone?

There is no WIFI in the trees. Signal is intermittent, you can normally send a Whatsapp message but not make a phone call. We encourage switching off! You can charge your phone using our solar USB ports in the kitchen area.

Can you suggest places to visit nearby?

We’d be happy to, there’s a Guidebook in the lounge tent and you’re welcome to ask us questions by email or message anytime before or during your stay. Guests enjoy visiting the surrounding area of Ledbury, The Malvern Hills and The Forest of Dean.
